BRMF55
Optical master unit, 19″ 4U rackmount design, up to 32 remotes
This TETRA master repeater is intended for use to convert signals from RF to optical and supply the remote optical slave repeaters. Typical applications are: long tunnel sections, in-building systems, large area outdoor coverage and long distance feed areas where the cost of the traditional RF cable is more expensive than the economical optical fiber solutions.
Using WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplex) technology the uplink and downlink signals are going on he same optical cable. The same optical cable is used for the remote supervision and alarm handling functions, which results a reliable control of communication link. All the slaves (including theirs optional external alarms) and the master unit can controlled through the master unit with a direct connection or by the
help of one GSM modem. -
BRTF15
Remote optical unit, Dual FO feed, wall mount, +36 dbm
This repeater is intended to use for TETRA in or outdoor optical fibre systems. It is a compact and reliable unit, and it is especially advantageous to use it in areas where off air transmission is not preferable (like tunnels, large buildings etc.). The base station side optical master unit can communicate, control and monitor – through optical fiber – the slave unit on the remote repeater side. In order to increase the redundancy the slave has two independent optical connectors and it can automatically switch from one optical source to the other source if it sense some failure. This very economical solution can be installed easily, and the repeater can be set and monitored using the bundled remote control software.
